Dr. Stefan Moiceanu DDS, FICOI, AEGD
Dr. Stefan was born in Romania and made the United States his adopted country in 1991. Upon moving to the United States, he continued to pursue his education with the same passion he had always had for learning. Dr. Stefan graduated from The University of The Pacific Dental School in San Francisco, with Honors, in 1996. Immediately after graduation, he was accepted into a residency program at his Alma mater, finishing with a Diploma in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) in 1997. After working for a year, as an associate in Lafayette, he opened his own dental practice in 1998 and continued to practice as a sole practitioner and owner until January of 2018, when he sold his practice.
In his passion to pursue excellence and advanced skills in the art of dentistry, he furthered his knowledge and education by becoming a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and a Fellow of The Misch Dental Implants Institute. Additionally, Dr. Stefan is a graduate of the Frank Spear and The Seattle Institute for Advanced Education in Dentistry.
Dr. Stefan lives in Lafayette with his wife Alina, who is a civil engineer, and their two children. In addition, Stefan has the great pleasure of sharing his home with “Grandma Christina” who will turn 90 in March and continues to enrich the lives of his family with rich, Romanian culture. Dr. Stefan and his family also love spending time with their two year old Giant Schnauzer, Moose, who keeps everyone on their toes.
Dr. Stefan and his family greatly enjoy the outdoors, music, and art. Being an avid cyclist, Dr. Stefan and his son Sabin, completed 5 double century (200 miles) races against the time within the Triple Crown California Cycling Stages. For this accomplishment both he and his son received the “Gold” Crown recognition for finishing five within one year. He has finished 18 so far and retains a goal to complete 50. His son Sabin, who started cycling last year at the age of 16, has already completed 5 double century races.
